Apparently there's also a similar saying in Chinese. Swap the American chicken for the fly. "无头苍蝇" Of course I then felt compelled to ask why the Chinese used the fly. I mean, you always see chickens in America. Somehow everything always ties back to a chicken. Why did the chicken cross the road? Rubber chicken, where?!
Now, in China, I like to say they're more of an equal opportunity giver. Flies, rabbits, tigers and snakes are all commonly used in one conversation to describe someone.
Not that I'm saying that Americans are stupid necessarily, or the chicken is bad (I love Miracle Mike); I'm just saying...well nothing really I guess. Nonsensical story of the day perhaps? It would probably make less sense if I told it to you seeing as I get distracted quite easi...CHICKEN.
Haha, sad that you drive so badly. Okay, I'm kidding. It wasn't very nice of your dad to say that. But well, what does it matter what animal we insult people with? It's still an insult, all the same.
